DAMER I DOMEN
March 10. At 6.30 pm, Nidarosdomen. Price: 250 kr
Two leading Nordic ensembles presents new music by Robert Sund!
Cantus, con. Tove Ramlo-Ystad and La Cappella, con. Karin Eklundh (Uppsala, Sweden) present the commissioned composition «Voices and The Voice» by Robert Sund. The work is based on texts about Maria Magdalena by Christer Åsberg and paintings by Michel Östlund. The music is composed for female choir and two percussionists, and gives association to both new music, classical and jazz. An exciting and untraditional combination of female voices and melodic percussion.
In addition, both Cantus and La Cappella will perform other compositions for women's choir.
“Damer i Domen” offers you an exciting musical experience!

The folk tunes “Nu kjem de med brurgrauten” and “Stundom e` mi kjering så god”, the joik “Eatnemen Vuelie”, and the African inspired composition “Safari” by Jan Magne Førde, were also presented at the Conference, and were also highly popular songs during the whole tour. Also contains exclusive bonus material from the tour! The CD can be ordered from our homepage.
A wonderful trip to the States
Cantus is back from the Norwegian Voices tour to the United States. We had a wonderful time in the US, and we have brought back lots of memories. It was very exciting for us to end our tour in Chicago attending the ACDA National Conference. For those of you who listened to one of our two concerts at the conference, and are interested in taking a look at the program, you can find the program here.
